Why the name "Wildfire?"

In the 80s it was called Biblical Education by Extension or BEE.

In the 90s it was called Church-Based Leadership Training or CBLT.

When it comes to summarizing what we do, those names work pretty well. But they're hardly catchy. So in 2006 we got to thinking about it and realized that those names don't exactly roll off the tongue, let alone convey our passion and enthusiasm for our unique approach to training Christian leaders. That's when we settled on "Wildfire." Not only does it convey a little of our spirit, it communicates that we are about spreading quickly and causing dramatic results.
